I have taught a wide variety of mediums and techniques to students, and enjoy sharing my passion of art through experimental workshops and activities. My goal is to bring value to the students, provide a customized and highly engaging experience that leaves them satisfied with their artistic projects.
In my personal work, I primarily paint portraits and interior spaces in a muted and refined color palette, using various mediums to create unique transparencies. I explore the connections between trompe-l'œil painting and the existence of certain psychological states, situated in an indescribable safe zone created from layers of the corporeal and immaterial. I take inspiration from contemporary artists including Aron Wiesenfeld and Anna Weyant as well as Gertrude Abercrombie’s compositions and Sargent’s portraits.
